Private Investors

Property-secured private credit

Connecting wholesale capital to property-secured investments in New Zealand.

A strategic approach to private credit

We provide selected wholesale investors access to property-secured credit opportunities across New Zealand.

The Finbase PIE Fund provides investors access to a portfolio of loans secured by first-ranking New Zealand mortgages, with origination managed by Finbase.

Our Approach

How Finbase manages private credit investments

Credit Framework

The assessment behind each loan

All loans are assessed against our credit framework, with higher-value or more complex applications subject to an additional layer of oversight from our credit committee.

Valuation approach

Security is valued using methods appropriate to each loan. Independent registered valuations are obtained where the LVR, asset type or transaction warrants; alternative evidence of value is accepted for lower-risk facilities.

Defined LVR parameters

Lending parameters are defined by asset class and transaction profile, reflecting risk profile and market conditions.

Repayment pathway

Every loan is assessed on underlying asset and exit pathways (sale, refinance, or completion).
